Day 1: Kigali Arrival and City Tour
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be greeted by our friendly guide who will transfer you to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, we will embark on a city tour of Kigali, the vibrant capital of Rwanda.
During the city tour, we will visit the Genocide Memorial Museum, a poignant reminder of the country's tragic history. You will have the opportunity to learn about the genocide that took place in 1994, pay tribute to the victims, and gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda's journey towards reconciliation and healing.
Afterwards, we will explore other attractions in Kigali, such as the colorful local markets, craft centers, and cultural villages, where you can interact with the friendly locals and immerse yourself in the rich Rwandan culture.
At the end of the day, we will return to our hotel in Kigali for a relaxing evening and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Bwindi National Park - Gorilla Trekking
Early in the morning, we will depart from Kigali and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, renowned for its population of endangered mountain gorillas.
After crossing the border into Uganda, we will continue our journey through picturesque landscapes, passing by rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages. Along the way, our knowledgeable guide will provide you with insights into the local culture and wildlife.
Upon reaching Bwindi National Park, we will check-in at our lodge, situated in the heart of the forest. After a delicious lunch, we will embark on the ultimate gorilla trekking experience.
Guided by experienced trackers, we will hike through the dense rainforest, following the trails of the gorillas. Once we locate a gorilla family, we will spend a magical hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. You will have the opportunity to witness their behavior, interactions, and unique personalities up close.
After the gorilla trek, we will return to our lodge, where you can relax and reflect on this unforgettable encounter with the gentle giants of Bwindi.
On the final day of our 2-day Rwanda and Uganda Gorilla Ultimate Experience, we will drive back to Kigali, with memories of the incredible wildlife encounters and the warm hospitality of both Rwanda and Uganda. This trip offers a perfect combination of cultural exploration in Kigali and an awe-inspiring gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi National Park.
