Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe International Airport
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you with the immigration process. Afterward, you will be transferred to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 2: Exploring Addis Ababa
Today, you will embark on a sightseeing tour of Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. You will visit the National Museum, where you can see the famous fossil remains of Lucy, the ancient hominid. Next, you will explore the Ethnological Museum, Holy Trinity Cathedral, and Mercato, the largest open-air market in Africa. In the evening, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Addis Ababa to Arba Minch
After breakfast, you will drive to Arba Minch, a beautiful city located at the foot of the Rift Valley. Along the way, you will enjoy stunning views of the Ethiopian countryside and make stops at various scenic spots. Upon arrival in Arba Minch, you will check-in to your hotel and have the rest of the evening free to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Day 4: Arba Minch to Jinka
Today, you will depart from Arba Minch and head to Jinka, a small town located in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the Konso and Ari villages, where you can learn about their unique cultures and traditions. In the evening, you will reach Jinka and check-in to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Exploring Turmi
After breakfast, you will drive to Turmi, a vibrant town known for its colorful markets and traditional ceremonies. You will visit a local Hamar village, where you can interact with the friendly locals and witness their authentic way of life. In the afternoon, you will attend the famous bull jumping ceremony, a traditional rite of passage for young Hamar men. Later, you will return to your hotel in Turmi for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Discovering Omo Valley
Today, you will explore the fascinating Omo Valley, home to numerous ethnic groups and diverse cultures. You will visit various tribes, including the Karo, Mursi, and Dassanech, and learn about their customs, traditions, and unique ways of dressing. This immersive cultural experience will provide you with a deeper understanding of the rich heritage of the region. In the evening, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Return to Addis Ababa
After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the Omo Valley and start your journey back to Addis Ababa. Along the way, you will make stops at scenic viewpoints and enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, you will check-in to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure to relax or explore the city on your own.
Day 8: Departure from Addis Ababa
Sadly, your 8-day Omo Valley tour comes to an end today. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
