Day 1: Arrival in Arusha.

After you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a comfortable transfer will be arranged for you to reach your hotel in the charming city of Arusha. Take some time to settle in and get accustomed to the local climate. You could spend the day exploring the vibrant city, visiting the bustling local markets, or simply relaxing in the cozy confines of your accommodation. Take a deep breath, soak in the sights and sounds of the new place, and get ready for an exciting adventure ahead.

Day 2: Arusha to Lemosho Gate.

Allow a hearty breakfast, you will set out on a breathtaking drive towards the Londorossi Gate, situated on the western flank of Mount Kilimanjaro. Once there, you will complete the requisite registration formalities before commencing your trek through the verdant rainforest. The first leg of your journey culminates at the Mti Mkubwa Campsite, a serene locale nestled amidst the lush foliage, where you will spend the night under the starry skies.

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Campsite to Shira 1 Camp.

Today's trek takes you through the moorland zone, providing stunning views of the Shira Plateau. As you ascend, the vegetation gradually changes, and you will begin to feel the effects of the altitude. Reach the Shira 1 Campsite, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,500 meters, where you will set up camp for the night.

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut.

Today, you will embark on the next leg of your journey towards Moir Hut, ascending through the alpine desert terrain. As you trek higher, the landscape transforms into a rugged, barren expanse, revealing awe-inspiring vistas of the surrounding peaks and valleys. You'll have the opportunity to witness stunning panoramas that will leave you breathless. Your overnight stay will be at Moir Hut Camp, situated at an elevation of approximately 4,200 meters.

Day 5: Moir Hut to Barranco Camp.

After breakfast, you will trek across the rocky terrain of the Lava Tower before descending to the Barranco Camp. This section involves some steep ascents and descents, providing a good opportunity for acclimatization. Enjoy panoramic views of the Western Breach and the Great Barranco Wall along the way. Overnight at Barranco Campsite.

Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp.

Today's hike involves traversing the famous Barranco Wall, a challenging but thrilling experience. Once you reach the top, the path levels out as you make your way to the Karanga Campsite. This campsite offers stunning views of the southern glacier of Kibo, the highest peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Spend the night here and prepare for the final push to the summit.

Day 7: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp.

As you ascend towards the summit, the scenery around you slowly transforms into an inhospitable and desolate landscape. The higher you climb, the more barren and unwelcoming the terrain becomes. Eventually, you'll reach the Barafu Campsite, perched at a daunting altitude of approximately 4,600 meters. Once you arrive, it's highly recommended that you take a break to recharge your energy levels, indulge in some nourishing food, and replenish your fluids. The summit night ahead is a challenging one, and it's essential to prepare yourself for the arduous climb. Take some time to rest and refuel before embarking on the final leg of your journey.

Day 8: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak, then descend to Mweka Camp.

Today is the day you have been waiting for - the summit attempt! Wake up in the middle of the night and begin the final ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Reach the summit just in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the vast African plains. After celebrating your achievement, descend to the Mweka Campsite, situated at an altitude of around 3,100 meters, where you will spend the night.

Day 9: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, then return to Arusha.

As you begin your final descent through the lush rainforest, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking sights and sounds of the vibrant ecosystem that surrounds you. The cool breeze on your face and the rustling of leaves beneath your feet will make you feel one with nature. Once you reach the Mweka Gate, your heart will fill with pride and joy as you receive your summit certificates, a fitting reward for your incredible journey to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. As you bid farewell to your mountain crew, you'll feel a sense of gratitude towards them for their unwavering support throughout your journey.
